Material overview
Polyetherimide (PEI) is a super engineering plastic made by amorphous Polyetherimide, which has high temperature resistance and dimensional stability, chemical resistance, flame retardant, electric property, high strength, high rigidity, etc. PEI resin can be widely used in high temperature resistant terminals. IC base, lighting equipment, FPCB (flexible circuit board), liquid delivery equipment, aircraft internal parts, medical equipment and household appliances.
Application field
Due to its excellent comprehensive balance performance, PEI has been effectively applied to industrial sectors such as electronics, motors and aviation, and is used as a metal substitute material for traditional products and cultural daily necessities. Replacing metal with PEI to manufacture fiber optic connectors can make the component structure, simplify its manufacturing and assembly steps, and maintain a larger size. For automotive applications, such as high temperature connectors, high power lights and indicators, sensors to control the external temperature of the car cabin (air conditioning temperature sensors) and sensors to control the temperature of air and fuel mixtures (effective combustion temperature sensors). It can also be used as vacuum pump impellers resistant to high temperature lubricating oil, ground glass joints (joints) of distillers operating at 180 ° C, and mirrors for non-illuminated anti-fog lamps.
